Terms and Conditions

When we say "Together, let's make amazing", we mean exactly that. 

We mean that our partnership goes beyond what we're known for into what we want to be known for. As we #MakeAmazing for you, let's make amazing for us.

PAYMENTS: All tickets are required to be paid in full. Additional tickets can be bought on the day if there are spaces available (20 people per time slot). Payments made in store can be by Cash (preferred) or Card (2% surcharge applies) or via our Mpesa till number. 

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS: We have a no refund policy. Customers are able to reschedule their session if we are given at least 24 hours notice. All no-shows will forfeit their tickets.

ARRIVAL: Please arrive ON TIME. If customers are late it will eat into their session time. If you think you might be late (more than 5 minutes) please try to contact us. 

AGES: Those under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Minors will be charged Ksh. 1,500 entry fee.

ENTRANCE RESTRICTIONS: Players must not be under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Selfie Village  staff reserve the right to refuse entry of players not complying to terms and conditions.

No food or drink allowed in store (other than water bottles)

SAFETY: If players are being unsafe or mistreating the exhibitions they will be asked to leave. Shoes must be worn at all times.

At Selfie Village  we pride ourselves on providing a high quality and safe experience from beginning to end. We require each participant, or a responsible parent/guardian of the participant, to agree to, acknowledge and follow all rules and abide by all terms and conditions during their time at Selfie Village.

Before entering the Selfie Village I acknowledge that I have read, understood and agreed to all of the following terms and conditions.

1. General:

1.1: Condition of entry: I accept that all participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol to participate at Selfie Village.

1.2: Behaviour on premises: I agree to refrain from smoking, drinking alcohol, eating and any unsafe or violent behaviours while at  Selfie Village.

1.3: I agree to follow any and all rules and instructions given by staff or other  Selfie Village personnel at all times.

1.4: I accept and understand that  Selfie Village staff reserve the right to remove, by means within the law, any participant that has been deemed as acting unsafe at any time.

1.5: I agree that I am of acceptable health and mind to participate in activities provided by  Selfie Village.

1.6: I agree that participants under the age of 14 require a responsible parent or guardian to participate in the experience with them at all times.

1.7: I take full responsibility for all my personal belongings including Camera, Smart Phone, Wallet, Keys, Lens, and whatever other material I bring into the space.

1.8: I agree that all completed waiver information is honest and true.

2. Risk Warning:

2.1: I agree and understand that all customers use the space at their own risk. While great care is taken to ensure the safety of all participant interactions with props, tools, low voltage electronics and other equipment, they can be potentially hazardous.

2.2: I am aware that minor physical activity is required to complete the activity, this may include but is not limited to walking, crawling, jumping, lifting (up to 10kg) and other similar movements.

2.3: I accept that I will be exposed to sound and lighting effects including but not limited to loud bangs, flashing lights, low lighting, complete darkness, and other effects for the purposes of entertainment.

2.4: I accept that I will be given a time limit to participate in activities at  Selfie Village and that time pressure may induce stress or anxiety.

2.5: I accept that I may be in reasonably confined spaces with up to 10 people.

3. Liability and Indemnity:

3.1: I agree to indemnify and defend  Selfie Village and all staff and other personnel against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs, which may in any way arise from mine or my group's use of the facilities at  Selfie Village.

3.2: I accept that  Selfie Village takes no responsibility for any injury, damage or incapacity of person(s), including death, as a result of participation in any and all activities at  Selfie Village.

3.3: I accept that  Selfie Village takes no responsibility for any loss, damage or theft of any property.

3.4: I agree that I may be responsible for replacement or repair costs associated with breaking, stealing or damaging any property at  Selfie Village.

4. Confidentiality:

4.1: I agree not to disclose the contents of  Selfie Village including but not limited to set designs, business operations, imagery, props, designs and any/all other content.

4.2: I agree to not disclose or replicate any other intellectual property owned by  Selfie Village.

5: Video Surveillance and Photography:

5.1: I accept that for the safety of our staff and our customers, our premise is installed with CCTV systems that record to local and cloud based hard drives.

5.2: I accept that these recordings are for safety reasons only and will not be published or presented anywhere without consent.

5.3: I accept that recordings may be kept on file for at most one year.

5.4: I accept that in the event of damage or injury these recordings may be used as a source of proof against me.

5.5: I accept that any photos taken on the  Selfie Village store camera may be displayed on our Facebook, Instagram, and website and may be used for other promotional reasons (staff will ask permission before taking photos).

5.6: I accept that any photos posted on social media with @selfiemuseum tagged may be reshared on our Instagram or Facebook in accordance with these services' terms and conditions.

6: Prize, Vouchers, Promotions and Discounts:

6.1: I accept that  Selfie Village has the right to accept or deny any vouchers, promotion codes, or prizes for any reason at any time.

7: Bookings:

7.1: I accept that being late to my session time may result in my time in the exhibition being reduced to less than 60 minutes or my time slot being cancelled with no refunds at the discretion of  Selfie Village.

7.2: I agree that if I would like to cancel or change my booking I will provide sufficient notice. Bookings changed with more than 24 hours notice will not incur a fee. Bookings changed with less than 24 hours notice will lose their ticket.
